Responsibilities:

  • Create ad-hoc reports for various business needs

  • Compile and analyze financial statements

Qualifications:

Qualifications/Key Requirements:

  • Minimum Overall 3 years + (field and estimating) work experience in heavy civil-Site and Utility work construction.
  • It is highly desired that you possess a minimum of two years hands on heavy civil field operations experience in site work, utility, and heavy civil area
  • Minimum 3 years + experience in estimating working for General Contractor(s) in variety size of utility/ site work estimates
  • Knowledgeable about underground utility work (storm, sanitary sewer, and water main), earth work, roadwork.
  • Experienced in and very familiar with NYSDOT, NYCDDC, NYCDEP specifications, contracts for site and utility projects preferred
  • Local-NY or NJ and able to commute to Brooklyn daily
  • Estimating experience on public works projects in New York and New Jersey is desirable

Other required qualifications for this role:

  • Minimum 5 years experience working for General Contractor(s) on heavy civil/utility estimating projects of varying sizes.
  • Deep knowledge of heavy civil construction implementation and estimating particularly in earth work, roadwork, concrete, structural steel, bridge work including substructure and superstructure concrete, utility, foundation work and any other related disciplines.
  • Experience in DOT, MTA, DDC projects: all different aspects of heavy construction such as utility, concrete, structural steel, etc.
  • BS degree in civil engineering strongly preferred, or construction management, or related; P.E. designation is a plus.
  • Ability to mentor and lead less experienced estimators very efficiently.
  • Must reside locally-NY or NJ.
  • Estimating experience on public works projects in New York and New Jersey is desirable.
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead a team for multiple projects and pursuits at any given time.
  • Expert knowledge of HCSS estimating software is preferred or willing to learn it rapidly; knowledge of creating schedules in P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic, confident people skills, demonstrate good organization, verbal, and written communication skills, and excellent leadership skills.
  • Solid time management skills and ability to thrive under pressure.
  • The work location is 152-41st St Brooklyn, NY.
  • Work hours are Monday thru Friday 7:30AM to 5:00PM.
  • Must be willing to work OT on certain days to complete bid closeouts a few times a month.
  • A hybrid work schedule may be available for this position.

Base Salary:

$180,000/yr - $220,000/yr
