General Superintendent

Superintendent With Minimum of 10 Years’ Experience

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
  • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
  • Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
  • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
  • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
  • Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
  • Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite.
  • Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
  • Walk all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
  • Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.
  • Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors in regard to quality of work or scheduling.
  • Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
  • Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.

Estimating:

Senior Estimator With 3-5 Years' Experience

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Senior Estimator must be able to prepare and submit multiple estimates per month and bring relevant experience.
  • The Senior Estimator will work under the direction of the Chief Estimator and must bring strong industry experience in the Heavy Highway/Civil construction.
  • Vast knowledge of NYC Union rules and agreements.
  • At least 3 years' experience estimating in the NYC Heavy Highway/Civil.
  • Proven past successful estimate record within the industry and competition.
  • Proficient in using HCSS heavy bid software.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Superior oral and written communication and interpersonal abilities essential for dealing with management, project teams, customers and other stakeholders.

Civil Field Engineer With 3-5 Years' Experience

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Manager to produce and assist in work related submitals
  • Comprehensive understanding of plans and specifications for assigned work
  • Coordinate with Superintendent to produce daily and weekly work schedule
  • Schedule and order materials (permanent and temporary) and equipment
  • Manage the daily costs for activities assigned
  • Assist in cost forecasts

Duties and Responsibilities

General Counsel:

Minimum of 5 Years’ of Relevant Insurance Experience

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend and defend company at violation hearings throughout the 5 boroughs – including DOT, DOB and DEP Violations.
  • Negotiation of settlements on an as needed basis – including release documentation as needed.
  • Non-Insurance related Contract Reviews - including drawing up additional language as needed.
  • Negotiating collateral and collateral refunds from carriers.
  • Ongoing development of injury procedure.
  • Track and monitor deposition scheduling.
  • Legal responses to Plaintiff’s counsel prior to claims being officially being made.
  • Obtain and maintain insurance and ID cards for all vehicles.

Estimating:

Lead Estimator with Overall Minimum of 10-15 Years’ Experience

Lead / Senior Estimator in heavy civil construction:

  • Overall min. 10 years and min. 15 years / + estimating experience with proven leadership and estimating skills minimum up to $50 Million projects or higher. Experienced in DOT, MTA all different aspect of heavy construction such as utility/ concrete/ structural steel etc. Very proficient in estimating at least four different civil engineering disciplines. For instance, site work including utility (1), demolition (2), superstructure concrete (3), structural steel (4) and/ or different disciplines. It is possible to consider interviewing candidates with fewer year experience provided that they can demonstrate their remarkable fulfillments and achievements as an estimator.
  • Proven estimating experience and ability to demonstrate it.
  • Being able to work alone or with other estimators for the same estimate project depends on the job needs.
  • Great communication, coordination and organization skills.
  • Preferably bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent/ +.
  • Local-NY or NJ. No commute problem.
  • Salary range from $150 to $200 K/year -negotiable depends on their experience level, how long they have been working in the estimating with senior role, and their achievements. There are a few vital variables determining the compensation such as overall capability, accomplishments, experience, education and attitude.

Utility/ Site work estimator-preferably who possess valuable NYC DDC bid experience if possible:

  • Preferably have NYC DDC/ or comparable agency utility estimate experience. We need this person to take care of mainly utility/ site work estimates from DDC and/ or other companies.
  • Min. overall experience is around 8 years. Ideally, we would this person to have 3-5/ + years’ experience in the estimating.
  • Preferably bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent/ +.
  • Salary: $140 K/year to $180/year. Negotiable based on the qualifications and achievements.

Claims Specialist

Construction Safety Director:

We are seeking a Safety Director to assist with managing the on-site safety and health programs. The Safety Director will assist with job site compliance audits and safety orientations. The Corporate Safety Director will work directly with Corporate Management to oversee and implement safety procedures to achieve compliance with Company standards, operating procedures, and organizational goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research, develop and implement new policies, practices, procedures, or guidelines as they relate to safety.
  • Maintain Job/Project Safety Manuals, MSDS's, etc.
  • Conduct Safety Training and meetings
  • Administer Safety Program
  • Conduct Labor/craft New Hire Orientations and Perform 30- and 90-day Follow-up Reviews/Interviews
